We are esque, a film production team working on an original short film that uses aliens and science fiction as a metaphor for queer identity, belonging, and otherness.

This film tells the story of two characters who feel out of place in their own world — watched, misunderstood, and forced to hide who they are — until they encounter something otherworldly that helps them see themselves differently. Through an alien narrative, the film explores themes of queerness, self-acceptance, chosen family, and the fear and beauty of being seen.

As a student project, this film is being made with a small crew, limited resources, and a lot of passion. Your donations will go directly toward:

• Equipment rentals and production design

• Costumes, makeup, and practical effects for the alien elements

• Paying cast and crew fairly

• Post-production costs like editing, sound design, and color grading
